Peak is an imagined mobile health application designed for millennials. I believe my generation should play an active role in their healthcare. By designing an easy to navigate application that safeguards medical records, Peak rethinks the way we approach maintaining health.
Peak’s target audience is the millennial who grew up in an online world. They are aging out of their parent’s health insurance and shifting away from traditional doctor patient relationships. They value joint decisions and cooperative work. Their lower employment rates mean less money to spend and increased debt. Less are married and owning homes; they are not keen on settling down. They value wellness and actively pursue a healthy lifestyle. This includes eating smarter, smoking less, using data tracking apps, and utilizing online information to follow healthy trends. They have a daily commitment to eating right and exercising.
Users are encouraged to use Tags to highlight any changes in health. These are cataloged by the application and used to analyze trends in user health.
Building a profile
In addition to tracking health tags, Peak builds a user profile using manual data collection and smart watches. Tracking includes sleep timer, steps, and heart rate.
